WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1961, Lampia operates in the market for thermo-plastic material moulding.  It belongs to PLAX, a group of interrelated companies and divisions which are active in the sector of plastic material transformation.  Lampia presents itself on the market as a partner and consultant for its Customers with a high level of competence and capability in the field of design, development and manufacturing of specific products. 

The challenges of the new millennium are global

To meet the requirements of the national and international market, Lampia proposes a service formula for its customers:  mould design in Italy, with the manufacturing of the moulds, the moulding process and assembly in Italy, Romania or China.  This new business model – which is perfectly integrated – means our customers can benefit from all the possible economic advantages in terms of cost reduction and speed in manufacturing, without ever having to forgo the high quality and service standards which are characteristic of Lampia products.  How is this new service structured?  The design of the moulds always takes place in the technical department in Cornate, normally in collaboration with the customers.  Their manufacturing, which is co-ordinated and supervised by Italian engineers, takes place in the venue which is considered the most appropriate depending on the specific project.  For this reason at the end of 2007 two companies were founded:  WANOX located in Suzhou City in China and LAMPIA ROM located in Arad in Romania.
